The MWS series microwave level sensor is designed for non-contact level or flow sensing. The MWS is ideal for single point level switch detection. It is an On/Off switch for object position and plugged chute detection. The MWS consists of a microwave transmitter and receiver. When an object interrupts the path of the microwave, the transmission of the microwave decreases. This damping is detected and converted into a relay output. |

Strong Penetration 24 GHZ high frequency is not attenuated by dust, moisture, or vapor. This frequency is also safe for humans. Spinning Wave Transmission To eliminate faulty signals by unwanted reflected waves, this optional model MWN transmits a spinning wave. The normal direction of spin from transmitter is clockwise. If there is an obstruction such as an angle or beam, the direction of spin will be counter clockwise by reflecting from it. The receiver, however, will not receive this reflected signal as an undesired obstruction. No Angle Adjustment Required Approximately 30¡ beam spread prevents misalignment. Conformity with International Telecommunication Rules The MWN is in conformity with JapanÕs Telecommunication rules, Part 38-2-4. Three Switch Selectable Separation Ranges Utilizing three switch selected separation ranges, the MWN can be used for all applications. Maximum separation distance between Transmitter and Receiver for each range is as follows: Range 1 2 3 Max. Distance 5 m 10 m 20 m |

Formerly known as STI Automation and Lundahl Inc. In September 2006 Scientific Technologies, Inc. (STI) sold its Automation Products Group to Automation Products Group, Inc. (APG), a new company formed as a result of STI Safety Products Group’s recent merger with a subsidiary of Japan-based Omron Corporation. “This change will be completely transparent for Automation Products Group, Inc. customers, and they can expect the same level of high quality automation products and services that they have come to depend on over the years,” says Jim Vella, APG President. “Automation Products Group, Inc. will continue to be a single source for process and automation sensor solutions.”Reviews
